Korean Drumming
Samulnori and Poongmul—Korean folk drumming—is played on a variety of drums and gongs. Catch the joyful beat and learn the rhythms of the traditional music and dance of Korea! Learn to play the Changgo (hourglass-shaped drum), Buk (round drum), K'Kwaeggari (small gong) and Jing (large gong). Performers may sit, stand and dance to the rhythms. Join in a collective drum experience that celebrates the spirit of Korea!
