We're All About You
The mission of Korean Adoptee Youth Group is to provide a safe and fun environment for adopted Korean teens (secondary students) that is meant to promote healthy and strong relationships with each other while enhancing their sense of identity.
The group was formed to offer opportunities to develop and foster new friendships, build respect and tolerance for others, discover new things about the self, and to gain an appreciation for cultural heritage.
The Objectives of Youth Group are:
| · |
To provide a fun, caring environment which fosters lifelong friendships among the participants. |
| · |
To be a place where Korean-American youth and teens feel welcome to explore the identity issues of adoption, race and cultural issues. |
| · |
Social interactions, culture classes and group physical activities build self-esteem and promote a sense of belonging to family, to friends, to humanity. Our youth establish many new friendships based on self-esteem and mutual respect, while taking their family relationships to a new level of awareness; one that strengthens the family bond. |
